MTV European Music Awards 2017
It's been a while since our last blog post because we have been super busy, however we think our latest job deserves a mention. Last week we had the pleasure of working on the MTV EMAs with Discovery Reseach to conduct a series of interviews with some of the attendees. We started the week in Shoreditch, London where we were invited to film at one of the lead up events that MTV were hosting. This was at Hackney House which has been covered into an MTV hub complete with all the branding and atmosphere that you would expect. We spent most if the evening here grabbing some shots of the event itself and interviewing some of the people who were attending. The goal of the interviews were mainly to find out peoples opinions not only on the event itself, but MTV as a brand. We managed to capture a wide variety of responses around this evening which was great.
Fast forward to Sunday and we were heading to Wembley for the main event. We arrived at the arena and collected our staff passes before heading inside to set up out interview station for the evening. At first we were having to pull people aside to get them to do an interview with us, however in no time at all we soon had a long queue of people waiting to speak to us. No doubt they all wanted their 5 minutes of fame on camera, but little did they know that this was an internal video that would never make it on air....sorry.
Once the show started, we had a little free time between each interview so we put our staff passes to good use venturing almost anywhere within the venue. We managed to see some of the top artists perform live from some of the best seats in the house which was an amazing experience (perks of the job..). The production value on the event was enormous with an incredible set design and overall electric atmosphere. During the evening we managed to capture some great content with some of the attendees, including a few very drunk responses. It was a pleasure to be part of this event and we will look forward to working with MTV again in the future.
